چکیده

For knowledge acquisition and engineering tasks many logic based representations formalisms are available nowadays. However, most of them do not support the elicitation and representation of domain specific knowledge. On one hand building special systems, which supports these elicitation and representation tasks is a costly and cumbersome process. The direct implementation of inference mechanisms reflecting the semantics available in a specific domain leads to an inflexible system: a small change in the input language results in changes of the whole system. On the other hand domain-specific languages obtain more and more interest as a means to support user in modeling tasks. In this paper we propose to built domain-specific declarative languages using techniques from deductive databases and logic programming. This enables the usage of existing efficient and elaborated systems. The ideas are illustrated by a reengineering and combination of two declarative representation languages: Frame-Logic and Linear Temporal Logic.

Declarative Rules for Annotated Expert Knowledge in Change Management

In this paper, we use declarative and domain–specific languages for representing expert knowledge in the field of change management in organisational psychology. Expert rules obtained in practical case studies are represented as declarative rules in a deductive database. The expert rules are annotated by information describing their provenance and confidence. Additional provenance information f...

Declarative Metaprogramming to Support Reuse in Vertical Markets

To eliminate the difficulties caused by the implicit nature of the natural relationship between domain models (and the corresponding delta-analyses) and framework instances, we aim to provide a mechanism for the construction of a bidirectional, concrete, active link between domain models and framework code by constructing a new instance of declarative metaprogramming. This instance supports a s...

A Generic Programming Toolkit for PADS/ML: First-Class Upgrades for Third-Party Developers

Domain-specific languages facilitate solving problems in a targeted domain by providing features particular to the domain. Declarative domain-specific languages have the additional benefit that users specify what something means rather than how to do something. As a result, the language compiler is free to choose the best implementation strategies and to generate multiple artifacts from a singl...

Deep Unsupervised Domain Adaptation for Image Classification via Low Rank Representation Learning

Domain adaptation is a powerful technique given a wide amount of labeled data from similar attributes in different domains. In real-world applications, there is a huge number of data but almost more of them are unlabeled. It is effective in image classification where it is expensive and time-consuming to obtain adequate label data. We propose a novel method named DALRRL, which consists of deep ...

0 DLV – A System for Declarative Problem Solving ∗

DLV is an efficient logic programming and nonmonotonic reasoning (LPNMR) system with advanced knowledge representation mechanisms and interfaces to classic relational database systems. Its core language is disjunctive datalog (function-free disjunctive logic programming) under the Answer Set Semantics with integrity constraints, both default and strong (or explicit) negation, and queries. Integ...
